Mishuo-Woyema bridge project slated for 2027 completion after five-year delay

Government has committed to completing the stalled Mishuo-Woyema Bridge in the North East Region by the end of 2027.

The vital infrastructure project, which links the North East, Upper West, Savannah, and Upper East regions, has been at a standstill for the past five years.

The prolonged delay stems from outstanding payments owed to the contractor for previously completed work.

During an inspection tour of the North East Region today, Hon. Kwame Agbodza visited the construction site to assess the situation firsthand.

Addressing local chiefs and residents, the Minister assured the community that clearing the government’s debt to the contractor is being prioritized to resume work immediately and keep the project on track for its new deadline.
