The government will double its initial security services intake to 10,000 recruits after more than 105,000 applicants qualified for medical screenings, Interior Minister Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak announced.
The results of those medical examinations will be released next week.
Speaking Saturday during President John Mahama’s “Resetting Ghana” citizens engagement in the Savannah Region, Mubarak stated that the surge in qualified applicants far exceeded the original 5,000 recruitment target.
To ensure fairness, the ministry is collaborating with local Members of Parliament and promises fair consideration for all who pass the medical phase.
“I can assure Ghanaians that next week, the results of the medicals that have been conducted will be released. And graciously, His Excellency intervened with the Minister of Finance to double the intake that we are going to take,” he said.
