Woman and son allegedly murder husband in Nsawam following extramarital affair

murder

A land agent at Nsawam Aduakrom, Nicholas Cheetham, has allegedly been murdered by his wife, Abigail, after she discovered he had impregnated another woman.

Although Mr Cheetham had reportedly pleaded for forgiveness and compensated his wife with a plot of land and a sum of money, she is alleged to have conspired with her son, Prince—one of two children she brought into the marriage—to commit the crime.

The suspects, alongside an accomplice who remains at large, also allegedly attempted to murder Mr Cheetham’s 15-year-old son, Richmond.

The teenager was attacked after he investigated a noise and witnessed the suspects carrying his father’s body away for disposal.

Despite suffering a broken neck and severe head injuries from a cement block, Richmond managed to reach neighbours and report the incident before collapsing.

The couple shared a four-year-old child, and Mr Cheetham had previously funded Prince’s education before establishing a printing shop for him.
