A man identified only as Kofi Ketewa is currently fighting for his life after being stabbed multiple times in the waist by unidentified assailants at Asafo Labour, near the Puma filling station in the Ashanti Region.
Kofi Ketewa was discovered lying on the pavement opposite the filling station, surrounded by a large crowd of onlookers.
Speaking with the little strength he had left, the victim disclosed that three young men from Ashtown had attacked him at dawn around 4:30am today, Tuesday, 9th June 2026, in an attempted robbery. He claimed that when he resisted them, they stabbed him and fled the scene.
A subsequent report filed later by Aduanaba on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM added that some of the victim’s family members have since been contacted. According to them, Kofi Ketewa is an ex-convict who is fond of stealing from people. They revealed that he had been repeatedly asked to stop his criminal behaviour but had refused.
Consequently, it is strongly suspected that he may have been attacked for allegedly stealing, rather than being the victim of a random robbery as he initially claimed.
