A profound sense of shock has enveloped the Nsuta community in the Ashanti Region’s Sekyere Central Municipality following the discovery of two bodies inside a local phone repair shop.
The deceased, found on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the “No Fears Mobile Phone” shop, have been identified as the shop’s technician and owner, Emmanuel “Puka” Kwarteng, and a hairdressing apprentice named Julie, who was a client.
Local reports indicate the tragedy likely occurred around 8:00 PM during a severe rainstorm and extended power outage.
Residents suspect the victims succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning after running a generator inside the sealed premises during the blackout.
