According to him, provision for the projects has been made in the 2026 budget policy statement and procurement is underway.

“We are in the process of procurement. I’ve seen some requests with the minister of finance to grant commencement authorization for this to kick off sponsored and funded by the GAET Fund.”

The Minister noted that deprived areas will be prioritised.

“Mr speaker, we will consider the request of the Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor Member of Parliament for Tarkwa/Nsuaem that constituency from our data is one of the deprived areas when it comes to the provision of basic education infrastructure.”

He added that he had spoken to the Minister for Finance that morning for an additional 30 million cedis.

“He requested that I send him a request for environment. When that is done, we can consider some of the basic schools. We can capture you under what was provided for in the budget of twenty-six.”
