The High Court has ordered the temporary freezing of five bank accounts and four landed properties belonging to Dennis Miracles Aboagye, former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD).
The court order, granted on Monday, August 3, 2026, bars all financial transactions linked to the flagged bank accounts.
Additionally, it prohibits the sale, transfer, mortgaging, or general disposal of the four physical properties pending further instructions from the bench.
The order of the court forms part of efforts by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to secure relevant assets while investigating alleged financial and procurement irregularities.
Mr Aboagye is currently under investigation over allegations of financial malfeasance and procurement breaches amounting to approximately GH¢55 million during his directorship at the IMCCoD.
Detectives at EOCO are carefully reviewing transaction records and procurement procedures carried out during his tenure to establish whether any criminal wrongdoing occurred.
Meanwhile, Miracles Aboagye has rejected all allegations raised against him, insisting that he carried out his duties without impropriety.
He was arrested recently and granted bail set at GH¢50 million with three sureties as investigative proceedings continue.
