A 19-year-old Okada rider has died following a horrific road crash during a funeral ceremony at Offinso in the Ashanti Region.
The deceased met his untimely death on Wednesday evening, August 19, 2026, while displaying dangerous motorcycle stunts at the funeral rites of a late colleague.
Witnesses told Nyankonton Mu Nsem that the teenager lost control while performing high-speed maneuvers and crashed head-on into an oncoming KIA Rhino truck. He suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot.
Police officers from the local command have since retrieved the body and deposited it at the mortuary, pending formal identification and autopsy.
An investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy is currently ongoing.
