President John Dramani Mahama has officially commissioned the Northshore Apparel Hub in Savelugu, situated within the Northern Region.
The flagship manufacturing project operates under the administration’s broader 24-Hour Economy flagship programme.
The state-of-the-art industrial hub is set to transform the regional economy by enhancing local manufacturing capacity, generating sustainable employment, and expanding trade prospects across the northern belt.
Beyond local economic revival, the facility is designed to scale up Ghana’s competitive presence in the global textile and garment market.
The high-profile commissioning ceremony drew key government officials and international partners.
Among the delegation present were the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare; the German Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Frederik Landshöft; the Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy Initiative, Goosie Tanoh; and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export-Import Bank, Hon. Sylvester Adinam Mensah.
A major feature of the Northshore Apparel Hub is its commitment to green manufacturing.
The facility integrates eco-friendly infrastructure and zero-waste production systems, aligning local industrial growth with international environmental sustainability standards.
