The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has agreed terms with Carlos Queiroz to remain as head coach of the Black Stars for their upcoming international campaign.
Queiroz’s initial contract expired shortly after leading Ghana at the recent FIFA World Cup. However, following discussions between the manager, the GFA, and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, all parties agreed to extend his tenure starting with the next international window.
“Queiroz’s extensive international experience, technical expertise and knowledge of the Black Stars position him strongly to lead the team into this next chapter,” the GFA said in a statement released on Wednesday.
The governing body added that both parties are now focused on “building a successful new phase for Ghana on the international stage,” with further details regarding his new mandate and the team’s upcoming schedule to be confirmed in due course.
