Landlady bites off tenant’s ear in shocking Fufuo brawl

KNIFE-BLOOD

A simple act of parental discipline has culminated in a bloody assault at Fufuo in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region, leaving a woman with severe physical injuries.

The victim, identified as 40-year-old Yaa Achiaa, is currently nursing a serious wound after part of her ear was allegedly bitten off by her landlady, identified only as Afia, following a heated alteration.

Accounts from the victim and her family members indicate that the dispute began whilst Yaa Achiaa was correcting her daughter for misconduct. Afia allegedly intervened, inciting the child to resist her mother’s discipline.

When Achiaa confronted Afia for interfering in her parental duties, the argument escalated into a physical fight.

In the heat of the struggle, Afia allegedly pounced on Achiaa, bit off a portion of her ear, and chewed it before bystanders could intervene.

Achiaa further alleged that the landlady’s husband, Kwame Dan, explicitly instructed neighbours not to break up the fight, giving his wife the upper hand during the attack.

The victim was initially rushed to the Barekese Hospital for urgent treatment before being transferred to the Offinso Government Hospital due to the severity of the injury.

Achiaa subsequently learned that the suspects had filed a complaint against her at the local police station.

She has appealed to President Mahama, the Ghana Police Service, and relevant authorities to step in and ensure the matter is thoroughly investigated so justice can prevail.
