National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has officially pulled out of the contest for the party’s National Organiser position.

The announcement was made by the Chairman of the NPP National Elections Committee, Frederick Opare-Ansah, during the balloting exercise held for aspirants ahead of the upcoming national executive elections.

According to Mr Opare-Ansah, Mustapha tendered his formal notification to step aside, leaving the remaining candidates to balloting for their positions on the official ballot paper.

The Elections Committee Chairman expressed appreciation for Mustapha’s contributions to the party and praised his composure throughout the preliminary stages of the election process.

Mustapha, who previously served as the party’s Deputy National Youth Organiser before assuming the substantive Youth Organiser role, was widely viewed as a strong contender in the national organiser race.

While the exact reasons behind his decision have not been formally disclosed by his campaign team, sources within the party suggest the move follows extensive internal consultations and strategic realignments ahead of the national delegates conference.
