Bismark was allegedly kidnapped on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

His captors initially demanded a ransom of GH¢45,000, issuing a 24-hour ultimatum to his distressed family.

To force compliance, the abductors sent disturbing audio and video files via WhatsApp showing Bismark stripped naked, bound, and physically abused in pools of water while pleading for his life.

The perpetrators operated the victim’s personal mobile phone to communicate, attempting to evade digital tracking.

Desperate to secure his release, the family raised GH¢19,500 from relatives and transferred it to the abductors. However, the captors refused to free him, increased their total demand to GH¢49,500, and threatened to execute him within eight hours if the remaining GH¢30,500 was not paid.

Following a formal complaint lodged with the Cybercrime Unit, Central North Regional Police Commander DCOP Abraham Aquaye confirmed that officers acted on operational leads to track down the suspects and safely rescue the victim.

Police are also examining retrieved audio recordings featuring an unidentified female voice accusing Bismark of fraud, as investigators work to determine whether the claim is linked to the abduction.
