President John Dramani Mahama has praised the contractor handling the Nadowli 24-Hour Market project for demonstrating strong capacity and delivering swift progress on site.
Speaking during an inspection visit to the Upper West Region as part of his #ResettingGhana tour, President Mahama highlighted the initiative’s potential to transform regional commerce.
He noted that the government’s planned rollout of 261 24-hour markets across the country aims to provide secure, reliable trading spaces for local farmers while breathing new life into rural and district economies.
Commending the pace of work at the Nadowli site, the President urged contractors assigned to other market projects to emulate the setup.
He reminded contractors of the agreed framework, emphasizing that firms are required to mobilize initial work using their own resources before receiving stage payments once projects reach 15 per cent completion.
