The Member of Parliament for Madina, Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, was abruptly rushed out of a public event after collapsing in the middle of a speech at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) campus in Accra.
The lawmaker, who was addressing a gathered audience, suddenly lost consciousness at the podium, forcing some of the attendees to rush to the stage to help.
Video footage circulating from the venue shows aides and security personnel quickly rushing to his aid and carrying him off the stage to seek medical attention.
The cause of his collapse remains unconfirmed as emergency medical treatment is administered. His office and representatives have yet to issue an official statement regarding his medical condition.
