The Adentan Municipal Assembly (AdMA) has held a comprehensive Town Hall Meeting aimed at rendering accounts to residents on its stewardship and ongoing development projects across the municipality.
The engagement, which took place at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Good Shepherd Congregation at Amanfro, was organised in accordance with Ghana’s Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) to deepen grassroots participation, enhance transparency, and foster interactive local governance.
Addressing the community, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Adentan, Hon. Ella Esiman Nongo, provided a thorough report on key initiatives and infrastructure projects executed by the Assembly over the past year.
Among the achievements highlighted were extensive road rehabilitation works, the construction of new classroom blocks, enhanced sanitation management, improved revenue mobilisation strategies, and targeted interventions within the health and education sectors.
Hon. Nongo emphasised that the Town Hall Meeting aligns directly with the Assembly’s core commitment to open governance and accountability. She noted that such platforms are vital for bridging the gap between local authorities and the public, allowing residents to ask critical questions and offer direct inputs into future municipal planning.
Speaking at the event, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Adentan Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, reassured constituents of his dedication to addressing their primary concerns. He pledged to work hand-in-hand with the MCE to ensure that the persistent road deficit facing the municipality is resolved.
Hon. Ramadan further disclosed plans to bolster security across the area by illuminating the constituency, promising to supply streetlights to Assembly Members for installation in key dark spots within their respective electoral areas.
