Fans of legendary Ghanaian and African musician, Kojo Antwi, in the diaspora are calling for the organization of annual concerts by the music icon across major cities outside Ghana.
The call follows Kojo Antwi’s recent live concert in London, where the celebrated Ghanaian musician shared the stage with Ivorian music star, Meiway, at the Dominion Centre on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
The concert attracted music lovers who turned out to experience performances from two of Africa’s most respected musical acts.
Reacting to the event a few days after the show, TikToker Ms. Aba expressed her admiration for the concert and said Ghanaians and other African music lovers living abroad deserve more opportunities to experience Kojo Antwi’s music live.
She suggested that the legendary musician consider an annual diaspora tour covering countries and cities with significant African populations, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany.
According to her, such concerts would give fans abroad the opportunity to connect with Kojo Antwi’s music and legacy while also promoting Ghanaian music and culture on the international stage.
She described the London concert as an impressive experience, noting that she had watched the performance several times.
Ms. Aba also expressed her regret at not being present at the event and said she hoped similar concerts would be organized in other parts of the diaspora.
Kojo Antwi, widely recognized as one of Ghana’s most influential musicians of all time, has enjoyed a career spanning several decades, with his music continuing to attract audiences in Ghana and beyond.
The Maestro is also credited with a memoir, “Mr Music Man: The Journey”.
The calls for an annual diaspora tour highlight the enduring appeal of Ghanaian music and the demand among Ghanaians abroad for live performances from some of the country’s most iconic musicians.
