In a dramatic shift ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates Conference, aspiring National Chairman Sammy Crabbe has officially withdrawn from the race.
The former Second Vice Chairman of the ruling party made the surprise announcement on Saturday, bowing out of the contest and declaring his full support for former General Secretary John Boadu.
Addressing delegates and party supporters, Mr Crabbe urged his team and loyalists across the country to align with John Boadu to ensure a decisive victory for the party’s forward march.
According to him, stepping down in favour of Mr Boadu is a strategic effort to consolidate votes, foster internal cohesion, and present a formidable leadership front capable of retaining power.
