A former Ashanti Regional Minister and Minister for Chieftaincy and Culture, Hon. S.K. Boafo, has declared that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is regaining its appeal as internal grievances and long-standing grudges are progressively resolved.

He acknowledged that the party previously faced severe hurdles, noting that their recent electoral defeat sparked widespread angst among the rank and file.

According to him, those lingering concerns directly contributed to the party’s defeat.

However, he expressed confidence that going forward, the NPP is positioned to emerge stronger, more united, and resolute in its quest to reclaim power in 2028.

Speaking to Agya Bismark on the sidelines of the party’s ongoing national elections at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Hon. Boafo emphasized the urgent need for reconciliation, unity, and cohesive action.

“The love for the NPP is back. We had difficulties and challenges as a party. People were disgruntled and that caused divisions. But the love for the party has returned. I will appeal to the party members to forgive each other. We should forget about the past. There were people who offended others. We have to forgive and unite our front as a party. Victory awaits us as a party in 2028. But we have to unite our front and address all difficulties and differences,” he stated.

He further reassured party faithful that the NPP will surely return to power in 2028 under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
