Bawumia congratulates newly elected NPP Executives, calls for unity ahead of 2028

The Leader and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has congratulated all newly elected National Executives of the party following their successful national elections held in Kumasi.

In a press statement issued by his Communications Directorate on Sunday, October 4, 2026, Dr. Bawumia described the election as a transparent and peaceful exercise that signaled the completion of the party’s reorganization ahead of the 2028 general elections.

“The election, which signaled the completion of the reorganization of the NPP ahead of the 2028 Presidential election was conducted in an atmosphere of peace and transparency,” the statement noted, adding that the outcome reflected the true wishes of the party’s delegates.

Extending his full support to the newly elected executives, Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence in the leadership to steer the party toward victory.

“It is the expectation of the rank and file of the party that the John Boadu-led National Executives will commence the process of preparing the party for the election in 2028,” the statement read.

Dr. Bawumia further pledged to work closely with the leadership to foster an all-inclusive party structure. He committed to “providing the necessary support to the new leadership to run an inclusive system that allows all the talents in the party to be harnessed for victory in 2028,” emphasizing that “in victory or in defeat, no talent should be left out in the 2028 campaign”.
