A cash sum of GH¢100,000 has been presented to the Ga Mantse Foundation by the Ministry of Roads and Highways to bolster its ongoing youth empowerment and education schemes.
The donation was made during a courtesy call paid on the Ga Mantse as part of official engagements aimed at advancing social development programmes within the Ga State and surrounding communities.
Delivering the funds on behalf of the sector ministry, Chief Director Ing. Samuel Kwasi Akuaku highlighted the need to guarantee the long-term impact and sustainability of the Foundation’s initiatives.
“The team for the Ministry of Roads and Highways, I want to give the Foundation – it is not a pledge – going to give the Foundation GH¢100,000,” he announced.
Ing. Akuaku further revealed plans to institute a permanent, annual financial support system across the ministry’s various subsidiaries to ensure continuous funding for the traditional authority’s social interventions.
“And I also want to indicate that to help the Foundation grow, we will take it up in consultation with the Honourable Minister to do a voluntary contribution from all agencies and the Ministry every year and submit accordingly to the Foundation,” Ing. Akuaku added.
