President John Dramani Mahama is set to begin a two-day working visit to the Ahafo Region on Friday as part of his national “Resetting Ghana Tour”, aimed at driving regional economic transformation and engaging local communities.
During the tour, the President will inspect several key infrastructure and agricultural development projects, receive detailed status briefings, and hold interactive sessions with residents and traditional leaders in Goaso to outline targeted policy interventions.
The President’s itinerary features critical project sites across the region, including a poultry, meat, and feed processing facility in Bechem within the Tano South Municipality. He will also inspect progress on the Tepa–Goaso Road project, which is currently being executed under the government’s flagship Big Push Programme, as well as the construction of the Ntontroso Bridge, a strategic transport link connecting Acherensua—one of the region’s main agricultural hub communities.
Accompanying President Mahama on the tour is a high-level government delegation, including the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku; Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza; Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare; Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mahama Ayariga; and the Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, alongside other senior government officials.
The working visit will culminate on Saturday with a public engagement dubbed the “#ResettingGhana Citizens Engagement with President Mahama,” scheduled to take place at the Victory Centre Assemblies of God Church in Goaso.
The town hall meeting will provide a platform for Mr Mahama and his delegation to brief local chiefs and residents on the progress of regional development initiatives, gather direct public feedback on ongoing national policies, and address pressing community concerns.
