The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that the second batch of postings for the 2026/2027 service year will be released today, 12th October 2026, with further deployments expected to follow in the coming days.
The announcement offers relief to thousands of prospective National Service Personnel (NSPs) across the country who are still awaiting their deployment details.
In an official statement released by management, the Authority assured unposted graduates that the deployment exercise remains active and urged them to maintain calm while final operational arrangements are concluded.
“The Authority assures all affected prospective personnel that the posting process is ongoing and urges them to remain calm and patient as the necessary arrangements are being finalised to facilitate their deployment. All eligible applicants who are yet to be posted are assured that their postings will be completed in due course,” the statement read.
A central feature of this year’s deployment exercise is a strategic shift towards expanding placements within the private sector. According to the NSA, placing greater emphasis on private enterprises will complement existing public sector placements, broaden the scope of institutions available to graduates, and bridge the gap between academic training and practical employment.
The Authority explained that this initiative forms part of a broader commitment to enhancing youth employability and post-service job security.
“Beyond providing placement opportunities for the service year, the NSA is committed to promoting the retention of National Service Personnel by their host organisations after the completion of their service. The Authority believes that stronger collaboration with the private sector can help deserving personnel transition from national service into sustainable employment, thereby contributing to youth employment, productivity and national development,” management highlighted.
The NSA further appealed to private business owners and corporate bodies to partner with the scheme by providing placement slots and considering top-performing personnel for full-time employment at the end of their mandatory service period.
Prospective personnel have been advised to disregard unverified rumours on social media and rely solely on official communication channels of the National Service Authority for accurate updates regarding their deployment status.
