The Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) has announced an extension of the payment deadline for outstanding induction fees, allowing all prospective inductees to participate in the upcoming 2026 Induction and Oath-Swearing Ceremony regardless of their financial status.
The decision follows extensive deliberations by the Governing Board, Management, and Staff of the Council following concerns raised during an stakeholder engagement held on October 13, 2026.
In an official circular dated October 14, 2026, and signed by the Registrar, Prof. Shirazu Issahaku, the Council confirmed that all eligible inductees can now register and take part in the ceremony across all designated induction centres nationwide, whether they have fully paid, partially paid, or are yet to settle their fees.
Inductees unable to meet their financial obligations immediately have been granted an extension until March 2027 to clear their outstanding balances. Additionally, the Council assured participants that official customised white Allied Health laboratory coats will be available for purchase from accredited vendors at all ceremony venues.
The regulatory body has strongly advised prospective inductees to rely solely on verified information published through its official website, verified social media handles, and sanctioned communication channels, or to contact its offices directly for clarification.
“The Council cautions against relying on unverified information circulated through unofficial platforms or by unauthorised individuals,” the statement warned, adding that further details regarding registration procedures, reporting times, and venue arrangements will be communicated in due course.
