GAF receives 45 military utility vehicles to boost operations

The Ghana Armed Forces has taken delivery of 45 Military Pattern Utility Vehicles to bolster troop mobility and operational readiness across the country.

The fleet, received on Friday under the government’s ongoing retooling programme, comprises 15 KIA utility vehicles, 15 four-by-four vehicles, and 15 six-by-six Troop Carrying Vehicles.

The new consignment forms part of broader state initiatives to modernise the military, secure national borders, and enable the Armed Forces to fulfill its constitutional mandate.

The introduction of these specialized units will significantly ease military transport logistics, allowing troops to navigate difficult terrains with greater agility and respond promptly to security demands.

This delivery follows previous acquisitions earlier in the year aimed at expanding capabilities across all service branches. On 10 February, the Ghana Navy commissioned the Ghana Navy Ship PRU, while the Ghana Air Force integrated an Airbus H175 helicopter received from France on 5 March.
