The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Honourable Rudolf Collingwood Williams, has applauded President John Dramani Mahama for his commitment towards the development of the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the country.
According to him, the President, through the government, has been able to provide most of the essential resources needed by the assemblies to perform effectively since they assumed office.
He noted that the support has strengthened the capacity of the assemblies to deliver on their mandates, improve service delivery and address some of the developmental needs of their respective communities.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio’s Weekend Show, Honourable Williams acknowledged that governing and managing the assemblies has not been easy, particularly in the face of competing demands and limited resources.
However, he said President Mahama has really fought for the assemblies and continues to push for their improvement and betterment.
He expressed confidence that the continued support from the central government will enable the assemblies to achieve more meaningful development outcomes for the people they serve.
