According to reports, the former Edziban host collapsed abruptly while participating in a live broadcast at Owass Radio in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region. He was quickly moved to a nearby health facility in Tarkwa, where medical officers pronounced him dead on arrival.

A key official within the National Democratic Congress—a political party to which Dzokoto was affiliated—confirmed the tragic incident.

Dzokoto built a distinguished career as a versatile creative across radio, television, comedy, and commercial voice-overs. His engaging presentation on TV3’s food and travel show Edziban endeared him to audiences nationwide, celebrating local Ghanaian culinary culture and tourism. His rich radio background included notable stints at Takoradi’s Skyy Power FM and Kumasi-based Hello FM.

Stepping into frontline politics, the renowned media figure represented the National Democratic Congress as its parliamentary candidate for the Tarkwa-Nsuaem constituency during the 2016 general elections.

Tributes have begun pouring in from across the media, entertainment, and political landscapes as fans and colleagues reflect on his vast contributions to Ghanaian public life.
