Dr. Apaak disclosed this after monitoring the examination at the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon) in Accra on behalf of Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu.
In a brief on Facebook after monitoring the exercise, he said he witnessed an incident-free process at the PRESEC-Legon centre, while reports from other parts of the country also indicated that the examination was generally successful.
“The promotional exams were held across the country, with over 60,000 teachers completing the three-day exercise. I witnessed an incident-free exercise at the PRESEC-Legon centre, and reports also indicate that the exercise was generally successful across the country,” he said.
Dr. Apaak said the government and the Ministry of Education remained committed to creating opportunities for deserving teachers and other staff to advance their careers through promotion.
He added that the administration of President John Dramani Mahama was determined to ensure that eligible education-sector workers could progress to higher ranks without unnecessary obstacles.
