Fast rising Higlife and twi pop rapper, Okete has released his latest single, ‘Date’.
Speaking to rainbowradioonline.com, the artiste said he wants to make Ghana proud as a musician.
Okete had his Primary and JHS education at Stephenson’s International School.
He then moved on to Nungua Senior High School and currently a student of Methodist University College.
According to him, “music has been part of me from class four where me and my friends will hit the tables to rap and sing to the beats we created. It was all passion and love for the music but I started doing music professionally after SHS. Thus, 2013.”
When asked how he draws his inspiration he said, “I draw inspiration from what happens in my environment, what happens in my life,what happens in another person’s life and then, I use my creative thinking to do a song out of it. As musicians we have to be creative and that is what I also do.”
Okete wants to make his family proud with his music “and my fans too. I want the whole world to hear about my music to love and appreciate it.”
He has worked on a couple of songs before his major single, ‘Date’.
Other works by Okete are Tsekerz love,No Over Taking,KSS BOY,Rather The King etc and a 7 track EP titled “The Street Is Fed Up” containing 7 tracks with songs like The Street Is Fed Up, Bad Blood, Sleepless, Where The Love Dey, Disturbed, Aley, and Street Boy.
