Gov’t engages with diplomats over security situation

Government has assured diplomats that the country was not under threat bit safe.

The National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah led a delegation of government officials to meet with the diplomats on security measures in the country.

The minister at the meeting briefed the diplomats on the successful operation that led to the rescue of the two Canadian nationals who kidnapped in Kumasi last week.

The government also used the opportunity to assure the diplomatic community of the general preparedness of the security agencies to deal with all kinds of crime.

Meanwhile, the media has been admonished to be circumspect in public commentary on security matters in order not to compromise other related operations.
