Head Coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton, has admitted Ghana is among the African nations to consider when it comes to winning the African Cup Of Nations.
Since 1982, Ghana has had difficulty winning the AFCON crown.
Chris Hughton, on the other hand, feels Ghana is one of the favourites to win the African Cup of Nations, despite stiff opposition from other countries.
Speaking with talkSPORT in the UK, the coach said, “Well Ghana has always been an outstanding name in African football, but the awesome balance is that some other countries regarded as lesser footballing countries have now improved, so the competition is great and it’s a good thing.”
“One thing I have seen during my travels in the games we’ve played is that the level of African countries now has improved, and the level of the African Cup of Nations will continue to improve.
