This initiative was started under the sponsorship of the Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, with a prerogative to unite the Builsa fraternity living in Accra.

The games are organised, especially for youth, and have run successfully for years in the past.

In all these past years that this initiative has been running, it has won the hearts of many and has continually improved in clout, as it provides a big avenue for Bulsas living in Accra to develop their sporting talents, network, and, above all, unite for development.

Present at the opening ceremony was the MP for the area, Dr. Clement Apaak, who is also the revered Chief of Uwasi.

He did the participants the honour of taking the first kick that set the ball rolling.

Again, on behalf of Hon. Dr. Clement Apaak, Mr. Felix Anamsi stood in to address the unprecedentedly huge number of Builsas who were present for the programme.

Four teams (i.e., Kanjarga, Wiesi, Gbedema, and Zamsa/Chansa) have won their games and have progressed to the next stage of the competition.

The activity was heavily attended, with heightened enthusiasm among players and supporters.

A preventative approach to ensure peace during and after the activity was very successful, as the entire activity was undertaken within a peaceful environment.

All teams were tasked with making provisions for first aid to cater to their players, and all complied.

Except for one infraction where Zamsa/Chansa’s team is purported to have fielded three unqualified players, the activity generally was peaceful, as it has always been since its inception.

The opposing team, Uwasi, has reported the matter to the organising committee, which is currently investigating, and has given word to bring finality to the matter on Wednesday, May 16, 2024.

The final batch of matches is slated for May 19, 2024.

Considering the anticipation of overwhelming attendance, provision has been made for the Ghana Police Service to provide security.
