‘You need your head examined if you’re jobless, poorer, and still support breaking the 8’- Nkrumah

September 26, 2024
divine one

The National Coordinator for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah, says he will understand why persons who have benefitted from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will defend it with their lives even when the party is messing up.

The young politician posited that he believes in the law of reciprocity regarding reward and loyalty.

He said when a system improves your life and well-being, it is not a bad idea to defend it.

Divine Nkrumah noted that there are several persons who have secured jobs and other gains under the ruling NPP, and so if they are defending the party even when they have done some wrong, it is understandable.

He was, however, quick to add that those whose lives have been impoverished due to the ruling government would have to have their heads examined.

‘’However, if you haven’t benefited in any way, are still jobless like me, and poorer than before, yet you continue to support the party that has rendered you more impoverished, then you must examine your head. You must be a dufus or d1ckhead. Check your “gumption,” he said in a Facebook post.’’

To him, people supporting the NPP and hoping to break the 8-year-jinx are doing so because it serves their interests, given the benefits they’ve received.

His post read: ‘’I firmly believe in the law of reciprocity regarding reward and loyalty. When a system improves your life and adds significant value to your existence, it’s only logical to defend and advocate for its sustainability. Honestly, I can understand and appreciate why some NPP members who have benefited substantially, secured employment, or experienced positive changes since the party took office, defend and fight for the party with their whole being. Their enthusiasm to ‘break the 8’ is understandable because it serves their interests. It’s good.

However, if you haven’t benefited in any way, are still jobless like me, and poorer than before, yet you continue to support the party that has rendered you more impoverished, then you must examine your head. You must be a dufus or d1ckhead. Check your “gumption”. #NoApologies.’’
