Bishop Moses Duffour, founder of the Dependable Rock of Ages Church, has made a strong declaration, stating that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will suffer a significant defeat in the 2028 presidential election if they select former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as their candidate.
The Bishop cautioned that such a decision would not only lead to a presidential loss but would also see the party’s parliamentary seats, currently fewer than 90, reduced to less than 50.
He therefore advised the NPP against nominating Dr. Bawumia, and instead urged them to consider three other potential candidates who he believes are capable of securing an electoral victory.
These three individuals, according to Bishop Duffour, are former Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, former Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong, and Bryan Acheampong.
Speaking on the Frontline show with Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the Bishop asserted that this outcome is a “spiritual seal” that cannot be reversed by prayer.
He said, “Dr. Bawumia is not ordained to represent the party. If he is elected as the presidential candidate, they will lose miserably, and their parliamentary seats after the 2028 elections would be reduced to below 50. I warned them when they elected him as the candidate for the 2024 elections. What worsened the issue was his selection of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate. He is not ordained, nor does he have the crown of glory to be elected President.”
Bishop Duffour further challenged any prophet or man of God who claims they can alter this spiritual outcome to come forward. While ruling out a bet with his life, he stated his readiness to “bet with anything the other party is prepared to bring onboard.”
”I am ready for any challenge,” he added. “To those who think they have the authority or the ability to make Dr. Bawumia President, I throw a challenge. Whatever they want to bet with, I am ready. I will not bet with my life, but I am ready for whatever else they want to bet with.”
