MoE cautions public over fake, manipulated CSSPS placement results

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has issued a stern warning to the public regarding the circulation of digitally altered and fake Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) placement slips on social media platforms.

According to the Ministry, its attention was drawn to attempts by unscrupulous individuals to manipulate placement slips and falsely claim that official placement results had been altered.

Following preliminary internal verifications, the Ministry established that the materials being circulated on social media do not correspond with records generated from the official CSSPS platform.

“In particular, the barcodes and QR codes on the purported placement slips do not match the placement information presented on the documents being circulated as evidence of alleged changes,” the statement noted.

System and audit logs at the Ministry further revealed no evidence supporting the claims, indicating that the affected documents were digitally manipulated to create a false impression that placements had been changed.

Describing the acts as a deliberate effort to undermine public confidence, the Ministry stated, “The Ministry considers these actions a serious attempt to undermine public confidence in the CSSPS placement process and create unnecessary confusion and anxiety among students, parents, and guardians.”

The matter has since been referred to the Cyber Security Authority and other security agencies to investigate and take appropriate action against those responsible.

The Ministry urged parents, guardians, and students to exercise caution and rely solely on placement information obtained through official CSSPS channels, assuring the public that legitimate concerns will be investigated.

“The Ministry remains committed to ensuring that the 2026 CSSPS placement exercise is conducted with transparency, fairness, integrity, and accountability,” the statement concluded.
