The National Democratic Congress has released the official schedule of filing fees for candidates contesting regional executive positions across the country. Under the newly announced schedule, prospective candidates vying for the regional chairmanship position are required to pay a filing fee of GHC 50,000.
Aspirants seeking the positions of Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Organiser will each pay GHC 30,000, while those contesting for Treasurer and Communication Officer are billed GHC 20,000. Furthermore, candidate fees for the positions of Youth Organiser, Women’s Organiser, and Zongo Caucus Coordinator have been fixed at GHC 15,000 each.
All deputy positions, including Deputy Secretary, Deputy Organiser, Deputy Treasurer, Deputy Communication Officer, Deputy Youth Organiser, and Deputy Women’s Organiser, carry a filing fee of GHC 10,000 each.
In addition to the filing fees, nomination forms cost GHC 1,000. Outlining the financial guidelines, the party noted that “a 50 per cent fee discount applies to female applicants” as well as “Persons with Disabilities”.
The party further stated that “all payments shall be made online via forms.ghanandc.com,” accepting Mobile Money, Visa, or Mastercard. Reiterate its strict financial policy, the executive body added that “no bankers draft or bank payments will be accepted,” emphasizing that “nomination and filing fees are non-refundable”.
