In an official statement issued on Wednesday, 30th September 2026, the Authority directed all eligible personnel to access their deployment details via its online portal.

“All eligible National Service Personnel are requested to visit the Authority’s website, https://gnsa.gov.gh/home and click on the portal, to access their respective place of postings and follow the stated procedures to complete the regional validation,” the statement said.

The Authority added that registration remains open for private and international applicants, urging them to complete the process within the designated timeframe to allow for seamless deployment.

According to the official timeline, registration for the 2026/2027 service year commences on Thursday, 1st October 2026, and will close on Thursday, 15th October 2026. Personnel are expected to report to their respective places of posting from Monday, 5th October 2026, to begin their mandatory service.

On monthly evaluations and allowance payments, the NSA noted that monthly evaluation forms for personnel and user agencies in the Subvented Category will be available on the portal between the 15th and 20th of every month. However, for October 2026, the forms will be open from the 15th to the 25th of October.

Deployment statistics released by the Authority indicate that out of 149,907 prospective personnel submitted during the registration process, 95,689 were successfully verified, and 95,197 successfully completed their registration. From this pool, 70,072 personnel have been deployed in the first batch.

The NSA reminded the public of Section 29(1) of the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), which states that “a person is qualified to undertake national service if that person is a Ghanaian citizen and has completed a course of study at a tertiary education institution”.

The statement further highlighted legal repercussions under Section 40 of Act 1119 for qualified individuals who fail to undertake the service, as well as employers who breach the law. Under the provisions, employers are prohibited from hiring qualified individuals who have not completed or been exempted from national service, with non-compliant employers facing an administrative penalty of five thousand penalty units. Furthermore, the Registrar of Companies is barred from registering any business name or partnership involving a qualified person who has not fulfilled the requirement.

The statement, signed by Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh, encouraged all prospective personnmel to comply fully with the outlined procedures and timelines to ensure a smooth deployment process.
