A female kenkey vendor has appeared in court following the death of a 42-year-old tailor whose body was found abandoned by a roadside at Dominion City, near Pantoase in the Eastern Region.
Police investigations led to the arrest of the suspect through targeted contact tracing and intelligence gathering after the body of Felix Amanor was discovered on July 5, 2026.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly admitted to investigators that the deceased collapsed and died while the two were engaged in sexual intercourse. Panicked that her estranged husband might uncover the extra-marital encounter, she allegedly moved the tailor’s body and dumped it along the street.
The suspect has been admitted to bail while the police dockets are submitted to the Attorney-General’s Department for study and legal advice.
Amanor, a resident of Blue Street near Adweso in Koforidua, went missing on July 4, 2026. Search parties located his remains the next morning with his clothing and shop keys lying nearby.
The deceased, who was laid to rest on October 4, 2026, is survived by an ailing wife and two children. Police inquiries into the incident continue.
