My sweet good voice was a gift from childhood-Adina

Ghanaian songstress, Adina Thembi, has disclosed that her award-winning voice has been with her since childhood.

The Best Female Vocalist Award at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) told Sokoohemaa on the mid-morning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that she had a sweet voice growing up and that has remained with her till date.

Adina said growing up, she was praised for having a great voice and was always given the opportunity to sing and lead.

The songstress said her dream has always been music and she has no regrets pursuing that dream.

She told the host as a child, she competed with adults in church when it came to music because she was exceptionally brilliant, adding, music was always the plan for me.

Meanwhile, she has explained that life doe her has not been a bed of roses as some would see it.

According to her, she had gone through struggles and painful experiences before shooting into the limelight.

About Adina

Adina (born Adina Thembi Ndamse), is a Ghanaian-South African singer, songwriter, actress and sometimes a model. She was the winner of the music reality show Stars of the Future in 2008.

Adina had her senior high school education at the Wesley Girls High School and then moved to Central University where she obtained a degree in Environmental and Development Studies. Growing up as a kid she joined the National Theatre Choir where she got to perform at Kidafest and Fun World shows.

She shot to the limelight when she competed in the music reality show ‘Stars of the Future’ organised by Charter House Ghana and eventually became the winner.

She is noted for her hit songs ‘Too Late,’ ‘Makoma’ and the current ‘Killing Me Softly.’
