The Chairman for the Kumasi Branch of Progressive transport operators association (PROTOA) has advised drivers and the general public to maintain discipline on our roads as we approach a festive season.
Mr. Joseph Mensah was interviewed o Nyankonton Munsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 Fm on what measures they have adopted to prevent road accidents this festive season.
He admonished drivers to be guided by their professional training, maintain discipline, respect road signs and traffic regulations to prevent accidents.
He further asked them not to be distracted by words from passengers since passengers are not skilled in controlling the wheels.
He told the interviewer that drivers must follow and go along with the rules and regulations of their profession so that if there is any form of hindrance that would cause an accident, it can be prevented to help them take passengers safely to their destinations.
He further advised drivers to allow pastors to pray for them instead of preaching in the car throughout their journey.
