Our worst performance was NDC’s best-Majority Chief Whip

March 19, 2022

The Majority Chief Whip, Mr. Frank Annoh-Dompreh has claimed the New Patriotic Party’s worst performance is better than National Democratic Congress’ best performance.

He said the government is putting together some measures to deal with the challenges we are having as a country.

He said the growth under the NPP is around five percent and one of their growth performance was around three percent among the difficulties we have including the depreciation of the cedi.

He said the facts cannot be contested the five percent of the NPP is far better than the three percent of the NDC.

“The fact be told those difficulties were self-imposed difficulties that President Mahama went through and the evidence were not far fetched”

He said currently we have Russia invasion of
Ukraine is affecting the entire globe. We have COVID which no country can absolve itself from.

The MP for Nsawam Adoagyiri said he knows the support and intervention that the government gave.

He said in the West African sub-region no government fed its citizens as the Ghanaian government did, adding utilities were almost free for some time.

“We cannot pretend that all is well and the government has been honest with it. The president has said on many occasions that times were hard. And the policies that the government introduced are all tailored towards reducing the hardship that Ghanaians are going through. So there is a clear distinction between a government that you can trust and compare to someone who imposed difficulties on themselves.”
