Banker files to contest NDC PREZ race

Businessman and activist of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Nurideen Iddrisu, today (Tuesday) filed and presented his nomination forms to contest the presidential race for the party slated for January 26, 2019.

He has also paid the GHc300, 000 filing fee despite his earlier call for further reduction after the GHc100, 000/slash from GHc400, 000.

He was accompanied by some supporters and well wishers of the party as well as campaign team members.

Mr Iddrisu, is a native of Wa, and declared his intention after holding meetings with some leaders of the party few months ago.

The activist is a banker, a businessman and politician who in 2010 contested the Deputy National Organiser position of the party.

His vision is to see a nation in which all citizens would be empowered through education, good health and jobs while his mission is to lead a planned and sustained investment in people and infrastructure for rapid creation of a sustainable economic development and empowered citizens.

Addressing the media after filing, the banker said his popularity will see him elected as the presidential candidate for the NDC next year.

Although he sees other candidates as solid, he believes he is the only one who will unite the party and win the 2020 presidential race and send the NDC back to the Jubilee House.
