Founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has called for prayers for Nigeria as a bloody cloud hangs over the rich oil republic.
The man says although spiritually the winner has not been declared, Atiku Mohammed, a former vice president is likely to win but the seat would be snatched from him.
He told Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that, the former vice president will emerge as winner but the incumbent, Mohammed Buhari will make an attempt to turn the results in his favour and that is what may trigger the bloody civil war in our neighbouring country.
He has therefore appealed to Ghanaians to pray unceasingly to revert any form of bloodshed and anarchy in Nigeria.
Prophet Badu Kobi said, ‘’the Nigeria presidential race is for Atiku but Buhari will rig the polls. The attempt by Buhari will lead to misunderstanding and if God does not intervene, there would be crisis in the country and bloodshed. We need to pray to avert this danger. It is not going to be easy. I can feel bloodshed and that is why we have to pray to avert it.’’
Nigeria delayed its presidential and parliamentary elections for a week, in the last hour on Saturday five hours to the open of polls.
“Proceeding with the election as scheduled is no longer feasible,” commission chairman Mahmood Yakubu said, citing logistical issues.
Mr Yakubu said the difficult decision to postpone was needed to ensure a free and fair vote.
The decision according to the electoral body was made following a “careful review” of the election “operational plan”, adding that there was a “determination to conduct free, fair and credible elections”.
He said the delay was necessary to give the commission time to address vital issues and “maintain the quality of our elections”, but did not provide further details.
But Prophet Kobi says the postponement was purposely for an agenda and stressed on the need for Christians to pray for Nigeria.
