Chief laments over increasing rate of kidnapping in Saboba


The Chief of Saboba a farming community in the Upper West Region, Naaba Alhassan Tule, has made a passionately appeal to the police to beef up security in the area due to increasing rate of kidnapping in the area.

The situation he said has created fear and panic in the area and affecting business activities.

He lamented unknown individuals have invaded the area and trading in criminal activities including kidnapping of people especially children.

He has also advised residents to be cautious and take security measures to prevent such occurrences.

He has however, stressed on the need for the police to beef up security in the area before the situation escalates.

In a related development, residents in Takoradi have also raised similar concerns and calling on the police to beef security in the area to protect their lives.

The residents have alleged that the kidnappers are using commercial taxis to engage in their unlawful activities.
