CONFIRMED: 35 passengers burnt beyond recognition in Kintampo deadly crash


 

The head-on collision involving two buses on the Techiman – Kintampo road on Friday, has led to the death of nearly 60 passengers.

The figure was confirmed by Superintendent Stella Sedameh, the Brong Ahafo Regional Police Commander.

According to her, 35 of the passengers on board of one of the buses burnt recognition after their buses caught fire after the collision.

She added that one of the buses caught fire with the other seriously mangled.

The command she disclosed has deployed men to visit some number of hospitals where some of the passengers have sent to to evaluate the situation.

She however clarified the police has not confirmed the entire number of casualties but can confirm over 55 persons have died through the accident.
