The Member of Parliament of Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak on Wednesday June 5, 2019 joined his Muslim brothers and sisters to celebrate the Eid.
The legislator in his message underscored the need for us to maintain and protect the unity and coexistence we have amongst all faiths.
The MP further called for vigilance especially in light of extremists’ ideas and now overt attempts my foreign elements to visit harm on Ghana under the guise of religion.
He also pointed out that the extremists are not Muslims or Christians but persons with evil intentions who hide under religion to disrupt our peace and security.
As well, he called on parents to take an active role in the activities of their wards, in light of an increase in drug use, especially tramadol.
‘’What is the benefit of our hard work, better roads, better schools, portable water if your children become drug addicts,’’ he questioned.
He assured the Muslim Community and reaffirmed his pledge to construct a mechanised borehole at the vicinity of the Mosque in Fumbisi.
The residents commended him for his support and said special prayers were said for him.
