EC resumes issuance of misplaced, defaced & damaged Voter’s ID Card


The Electoral Commission of Ghana has resumed with immediate effect, the issuance of Voter ID cards nationwide, a statement signed by the Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensa has said.

 

According to the statement, any person who wishes to replace a lost, defaced or damaged Voters’ ID Card is required to pay a fee of Five Ghana Cedis (GHc5) at any Ghana Commercial Bank branches across the country.’’

 

The statement further indicated that ‘’applicants are required to submit receipt of payment to the District Office of the Commission where the applicant registered, for the issuance of a new ID card.’’
