A former Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), at the Oyarifa branch, George Boateng, is heading to the party’s headquarters to pick his nomination form.
He had told Rainbow Radio prior to picking the forms that he is ready to contest and have the money required for the filing available.
He was the only person who made an attempt to contest former President John Dramani Mahama in 2015 but was disqualified by the party on grounds that he failed to meet the requirements and was mentally unstable.
He was reported to have bought fake nomination forms.
When asked the job he is currently doing, he said he is a special agent to national security but failed to disclose further his other jobs because of security reasons.
Mr George Boateng said as a former executive of the party, he will get all the needed signatories to endorse his forms and will contest and emerge as presidential candidate for the NDC.
He cautioned General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and Chairman, Mr Ofosu Ampofo to desist from auctioning the party.
So far, former President John Dramani Mahama had his forms picked on his behalf by some members of the party in the Asawase constituency.
Professor Joshua Alabi has also picked his nomination forms today bringing the number of aspirants who have picked their forms to 3.
Today [Tuesday] is the deadline for the picking of nomination forms.
