Manager of Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel Tagoe, Abraham Neequaye has reacted to comments made by new IBF lightweight world champion, Richard Commey that he won’t fight with game boy because they are both Ghana saying the IBF Title is not a family property and if he likes it or not he will have to face Game Boy.
Speaking to Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi on Rainbow sports the second vice president of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) said, Game Boy is rated number 12 at the IBF and ‘’we are fighting IBF International and that will push us up to fight him so in case we don’t fight Lomachenko he is next in line; so if he likes it or not we will fight him because they are all under one promoter which is Lou Dibella.
If he is saying he won’t face Game Boy then he has to vacate the title and leave it for Game Boy to face a different opponent. By all means, he will have to face game boy or move from Lightweight division to super Lightweight division.
He continued that, its only Emmanuel Tagoe that can beat Vasyl Lomachenko in the lightweight division.
Emmanuel Tagoe will face Vyacheslav Gusev on the 23rd of February at the Bukom Boxing Arena in a WBO Global, WBO Africa and IBF International bout and if he wins he will the number one contender to Lomachenko from Russia.
