IDU, DUA has paid a courtesy call on Bawumia

This morning, the executives of the International Democrat Union(IDU) and the Democratic Union of Africa (DUA) paid a courtesy call on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the Jubilee House.

The IDU and DUA delegation had various political parties from about 18 countries in Africa, who practice center-right democratic conservative ideologies. Also, present were representatives of the Conservative Party and Westminster Foundation in UK, leaders of the New Patriotic Party, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Germany, among others.

He indicated that the New Patriotic Party and the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo believe in the application of conservative democratic principles, the operation of strong private sector dominated market economies, with good management of public finances, as this provides the most effective platform for Africa’s development.

Vice President applauded the institutions for the roles they continue to play in deepening democracy across the world.

He also received on behalf of President Nana Akufo-Addo, a plaque conferring an honorary patronship on him by the International Democrat Union.
